Did you know that there are different stages to the process of creative writing?
Here’s what they are, and how AI can assist us.
Stage 1: Romance
Also known as the “inspiration period”, this is a period where an individual develops curiosity and excitement about a topic or a performance space.
Large Language Models (LLMs) can be used to mimic specific writer styles.
Stage 2: Precision
This is the period where learners practice and master the details, conventions and technical aspects of writing for a literary purpose while using innovative language structures.
Large Language Models can serve as an editor and provide feedback on the work.
Stage 3: Integration
This refers to the period where the knowledge and skills acquired in the precision stage are synthesized into a holistic understanding and integrated into a personal voice and writing style.This also includes seeking community with other writers with whom they may share successes and weather struggles.
Large Language Models can act as a virtual community for this.
