UE is a non-profit organisation. Membership fees enable us to sponsor resources and data, facilitate events and collaborations, and campaign in support and defence of the subject.
University English depends upon the good will and active involvement of its membership. The more people it represents, the more effective is its lobbying voice. If you would like to find out more about the advantages conferred by University English membership, please visit the About UE page.
UK English departments on our contact list are invoiced every autumn and can pay by bank transfer (using the details on the invoice) or PayPal (using the form on this page). Individual academics who are not affiliated with a subscribing department can purchase combined UE/ESSE membership using the same form.
