The 18th ESSE Conference

The 18th European Society for the Study of English Conference 2026 will take place at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, a World Heritage City and home to one of the oldest universities in Spain.
31 August – 4 September.
As is tradition, the conference will consist of a combination of plenary lectures, parallel lectures, roundtables, seminars, posters, and the Doctoral Symposium. The CFP for individual papers is now open with a deadline of 31st January 2026
Registration will begin on 1st March 2026
