The English Creates Campaign mission is to champion, defend and expand access to the study of literature, language, and creative writing in English (in all their forms, regionalities and nationalities), particularly for year 12 and 13 students wanting to study English at university.
We do it by campaigning to promote the intellectual and vocational creative and critical skills that young people acquire through doing degrees in English literature, language and creative writing.
We do it by myth-busting governmental and public misconceptions about the value of studying English in Higher Education.
Our Vision is higher educational access to English study for all those impassioned by reading and writing, and a society that values the English degree for its creative and critical potential.
Continue to check the campaign pages and keep in touch with our social media channels (you can find UE on LinkedIn, Twitter (X), Instagram and Tik Tok) for resources, news and events. Please also consider getting involved either individually or via your University English departments. We are eager to hear from students, graduates and employers with experience and passion for English literature, creative writing and all related subjects.
